Aviation – Structured Finance 

This Aviation Finance Division is based in the UK and provides a global finance function serving the commercial aircraft industry. With a significant customer base they are well known by many airlines, banks, equity houses and aircraft leasing companies worldwide. 

Due to organic growth the company is seeking a structured finance professional with prior experience in the structuring and negotiation of Aviation Finance transactions. 

The Role: 

The company utilises a variety of financial structures to complete commercial aircraft transactions. The successful candidate will be required to have a reasonable level of knowledge across a variety of transaction types and manage the deal from cradle to grave from the finance perspective. Ultimately, the individual will comfortable operating between asset classes and any of the major global debt markets. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Structuring, pricing, negotiation and contracting of finance commitments.
• Negotiating internal approval of such financial commitments.
• Negotiation and execution of required debt and equity participations in order to fulfil the contracted commitments.
• Management, compliance and reporting of the ongoing portfolio and any potential liabilities. 

Experience: 

The candidate should be able to demonstrate or develop the following: 

• A proven track record in the aviation finance industry at a hands on structuring level. An understanding of the commercial and market trends that drive the industry. 
• Knowledge of the financial products generally used in commercial aviation.
• Knowledge of and relationships with the main financial institutions that deal in aircraft finance, with a focus on commercial aviation. 
• The ability to negotiate contracts at a board level with a detailed knowledge of aircraft finance transactions. 
• Proactive management of the portfolio to identify exposures and reduce risk. 

The position will require regular travel to meet with customers mainly within EMEA but may require other geographical coverage. It is a hands on position that will require the successful individual to handle all aspects of the deal.

The package will be negotiated and tailored to the selected individual.

VP Origination (Debt / Equity) - Aircraft Finance

This is an investment bank with an existing portfolio of commercial aircraft transactions. They have a strong presence in this industry with the ambition of being a market leader.

This position is a newly created role and will be instrumental in the future growth of the aviation finance division. The primary focus of the position is to utilise existing relationships and develop new contacts for the bank with other financial institutions and equity investors as they grow their book value through both syndicated deals and various structured finance products.

Requirements

• A proven experience originating equity and debt for commercial aircraft transactions globally
• Prior experience structuring aviation finance deals
• Strong relationships with investors in the commercial aviation industry globally (banks, funds, equity investors, sovereign wealth funds)

VP Technical (6 month Contract)

Location - London  

This bank hasa strong history in aviation is seeking a VP technical for a 6 month contract. The role will manage the company's aviation investments from an LOI stage and negotiate or flag any key issues in the lease, finance or purchase documentation. Candidates should have prior experience assesing and negotiating leases from a technical perspective.

This role may have the opportunity to extend or go permanent at the end of the initial 6 month contract.

Credit & Market Analyst

Aircraft Leasing and Trading Company based in UK require a Market Analyst to join their busy and growing team.

The position will require the person to support the commercial functions of the business by

• Analyse and report on the financial statements of airline customers
• Prepare credit papers for aircraft lease and trading transactions
• Assist with commercial presentations
• Producing economic and aircraft performance reports
• Identify market opportunities through industry analysis

The position is ideally suited to a person with 2-3 years aviation experience. The position will be commercially focused and offers progression to the right candidate.
