The company is focused on mid to end of life commercial leasing with the end goal of engine tear down to supply their engine parts business. 

As the Product Line Manager this person is the most senior technical person within the company and will oversee due diligence of purchasing engines for the purpose of teardown and extracting used serviceable material.

The Role: 

• Provide technical assistance as required to support engine parts sales requirements.
• Comparing company’s inventory against competitors to assess competition in the market.
• Manage inventory to ensure appropriate material is repaired and ready for future orders.
• Reviewing and adjusting inventory levels to maintain product availability.
• Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
• Gather technical data including AD’s, SB’s, interchangeability, and modifications.
• Oversee engine teardowns to ensure parts are removed and correctly received into inventory.
• Liaise with technical personnel to organize technical records, prepare marketing materials, and work through customer’s requests
• Review of BTB, BSIs, and engine component listing data to assist in daily modelling of potential CFM56/V2500 acquisition candidates for teardown. 
• Assist with the valuation of potential acquisitions and sale/lease opportunities
• Ability to identify opportunities for engine shop visit avoidance, including the amendment of lease re-delivery conditions, brokering of exchange engines, replacement with lease engines.
• Review of exchange material proposals including back to birth history for LLP/serialised part replacements
• Monitoring of fleet technical issues e.g. SB/AD’s or other, which may impact asset values
• Experience reviewing engine performance trend data for those CFM/V2500 engines to be considered with leases attached or serviceable/naked. 

Essential:

• Prior experience within an engine part or leasing company
• Experience with CFM56 and V2500 engine types
• Ability to communicate and interface at a high level both verbally and in writing with industry peers
• Prior experience purchasing engines for tear down of USM
• Knowledge of using Microsoft Excel
• A valid work permit for the USA
• Willingness to travel

Purpose: Work as a member of the Sales & Marketing Team, interface with airlines and lead transactions from deal origination to approval through to closure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as sales and marketing representative for APAC region
• Interface with airline management and develop strong customer relationships
• Originate, negotiate and lead deal negotiations
• Prepare term sheets for internal review and approval
• Work with legal, finance, technical, credit to support timely closing of duly authorised transactions

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, aeronautical engineering, recognised aviation technical qualification or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Sales position in an aviation or engine related business
• Understanding of the aviation industry and technical aspects of engines
• Experience negotiating and managing transactions from origination through closure.
• Financial Skills - experience with operating lease structures
• Proficient with MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Proven negotiation ability and effective influencing skills
• Problem solving, analytical and financial skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, self motivated with and ability to use own initiative
